Advanced Physio's Newcastle clinic has both male and female physiotherapists who undertake regular ongoing education to ensure that they have high levels of theoretical knowledge as well as great clinical skills. Each physiotherapist has a variety of specialized skills and interests so be sure to go to our about us page to find the physiotherapist that best suits your individual needs.

Cameron Bulluss

Newcastle Physiotherapy - Cameron Bulluss

Cameron has been practicing as a Physiotherapist since 1989. He has additional qualifications in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is a Titled APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Out of approximately 16000 Physiotherapists in Australia there are about 800 with this title. It is currently obtained through Masters Qualifications. Cameron is Chairman of the Australian Physiotherapy Association business chapter. He is a frequent lecturer to medical groups and medical practices, and was the invited physiotherapy speaker to the Hunter Post-graduate Medical Institute and GP training programs last year and has taught a variety of topics including:

  • Shoulders
  • Feet
  • Knees
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Orthotic prescription

His main clinical interests are injuries to the spine and lower limb. Cameron is no longer available for individual appointments and acts in a consultative role to other therapists in the practice.


James Stockley

Newcastle Physiotherapy - James StockleyOur most experienced full-time therapist, James has been with us for 8 years. He grew up in Newcastle and has had played and worked as a Physiotherapist with golf, cricket and soccer.

James is our resident shoulder and neck expert having spent a year doing extra study in the UK last year. His great experience is an invaluable resource to all of us here, and he is a great contributor to the ongoing education of the other therapists. His busy list no longer allows for any sporting club affiliations.


Lauren Gradwell

Newcastle Physiotherapy - Lauren Gradwell

Lauren has been with us for nearly 3 years. Born and bred in Newcastle she comes from an elite sporting background which included representative netball and NSW and Australian representation at softball. Lauren studied physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle. She has a special interest in the treatment of sports injuries and lower limb injuries. Her softball interest makes her our resident throwing expert.

She currently provides Physiotherapy to NSW School Boys Rugby League, NSW Softball, Hunter Academy of Sport Consultant and Physio to W-League Jets (Newcastle Jets women’s team)

Lauren is currently studying her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through Latrobe University and aims to become a Titled Sports Physiotherapist.


Peter Enks

Newcastle Physiotherapy - Peter Enks

Peter is currently Physiotherapist for The Newcastle Jets Youth Team. Peter studied physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle. He was a competitive 400m runner and brings to the practice a wealth of knowledge particularly with knee and ankle injuries.

He has a special interest in exercise rehabilitation and the management of sports injuries and is our current running guru. He has completed the Australian Orthotic Group orthotics course and has lectured to our group on management of running injuries and on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury Prevention.


Sunny Ruba

Newcastle Physiotherapy - Sunny Ruba

Sunny is from a prominent Newcastle medical family. He entered Physiotherapy studies after studying personal training and remedial massage (for which he holds a Diploma qualification). His recent sporting background is in martial arts.

Sunny’s hands-on and exercise expertise are a welcome addition to our team. His current clinical interests are focused especially on upper limb, neck and back injuries. He recently completed a course in orthotic prescription with the Australian Orthotic group.

Sunny has had an active involvement in our in-house education and recently lectured to the group about entrapment neuropathies such as carpal tunnel syndrome and sciatica. He has excellent communication skills and has rapidly become one of our most popular therapists. His second language is Punjabi, and he is happy to see patients from the Indian community.


Jaclyn Allen

Jaclyn has recently joined us. She graduated with honours from Newcastle University. She comes from a competitive sporting background and currently plays basketball for the Newcastle State League Team. She has worked recently with sporting teams such as:

  • NBN soccer league teams
  • NSWIS soccer teams

Her main clinical interests at present are sports injuries, in particular injuries to the lower limb. She recently completed a course in orthotic prescription with the Australian Orthotic group and is an accredited Kinesiotape practitioner. She has also completed her Australian Physiotherapy Association Level one Sports Physiotherapy course.


Anders Jannson

Newcastle Physiotherapy - Anders Jannson

Anders came to Newcastle from Sweden to study Physiotherapy and fell in love with our town. He has a background in martial arts and spent his early adult life as a professional musician.

Anders is our resident anatomy guru, having spent several years at Newcastle University teaching anatomy to Physiotherapy Students. His current clinical interests are focused especially on upper limb, neck and back injuries. He recently completed a course in orthotic prescription with the Australian Orthotic group.

Anders has lectured to local Sports Trainers on the Sports Medicine Australia level one Sports Trainers Certification.

Anders is currently Physiotherapist for the NSWIS soccer program.


Michael Corrigan

Newcastle Physiotherapy - Michael Corrigan

Michael has recently joined us and has become a member of our lower limb team. His background in first grade cricket and recent experience working with local Australian Rules football has also provided valuable experience in upper limb injuries. He recently completed a course in orthotic prescription with the Australian Orthotic group.

Micheal has recently lectured to our group on management and prevention of stress fractures. He has successfully completed 2 marathons.
