Do I need a doctor's referral to make an appointment?
If you are a privately paying patient you do not need a referral. A referral is required if you are seeking help under the Workers Compensation system, Department of Veterans Affairs, enhanced primary care systems or 3rd party motor accidents system.
What should I bring with me?
Results and images from any medical investigations you may have had such as x-rays. Doctors referral forms. If you are a Worker's Compensation patient we require a claim number.
What should I wear to a treatment session?
You should dress appropriately for your consultation. If you have a knee, hip or low back injury you should wear some loose fitting shorts or a tracksuit bottom. If you are playing sport or are doing exercise and have a lower limb or low back issue you should bring your shoes.
Can I choose my own physiotherapist?
Advanced Physio is a full service facilitiy and consists of eight full time physiotherapists. We have both male and female physiotherapists and each has particular interests and specialities. It is one advantage of a large clinic that all physios are able to specialise in a limited number of areas. This ensures a high level of expertise. At the time of your booking, our reception will match up the most appropraite physiotherapist based on the information you provide, however if there is a physiotherapist you feel more comfortable with, we will endeavour to ensure that they are available to you for your treatment sessions.
What are your operating hours?
Advanced Physio is available six days a week, Monday to Friday. Our operating hours from Monday to Friday are between 7:00am - 7:00pm. Special arrangements can be made for out of hours appointments during the week.
When will I need to pay for my treatments?
Depending on the circumstances of your treatment, will depend on who pays for your Physio session and when it will be paid. Please click here to view more detail our Billing Policy.
