Ligament Tears
Ligaments are soft tissue structures that attach between two bones and are responsible for ensuring that the bones are held together correctly and that they move correctly. Ligament injuries are common in all age groups and require special attention in children due to the risk of growth plate injury.
The ankle and knee ligaments are the most commonly injured and early correct diagnosis and correct early management are vital to a rapid recovery and a good overall outcome.
