Jaclyn Allen

Jaclyn has been a part of our team since early 2011. She is an APA titled Sports Physiotherapist, having completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy from LaTrobe University in 2014. Jaclyn graduated with honours in 2009 from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Her thesis on the biomechanics of lifting was published in 2011.

Jaclyn also works for Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a second physiotherapist for the Matildas (Australian National Women’s Soccer team) and head physiotherapist for the Junior Matildas (under 17’s women’s National team). This sees her frequently travelling the world on football tours. She was the head physiotherapist for the Newcastle Jets W League team for the past 6 years until her work with FFA meant she no longer had the time for this role.

Jaclyn has spent time working at the Australian Institute of Sport as a locum physiotherapist, and as a result has worked with elite athletes over a variety of sports. Jaclyn also has experience with Newcastle Knights junior teams, NSWIS soccer, NSW basketball, NBN/NPL soccer clubs and Hunter Academy of Sport.

Jaclyn's wealth of knowledge and experience in elite sport transfers very well across all populations and ages (including the non-athletic population) and she enjoys treating a wide variety of people and injuries.
