Matt Kent
Matt has been part of our team since early 2012. He has completed a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Southern Cross University.
Matt is dedicated to his sport, representing regionally in basketball as a player, coach and referee.
Matt has chosen a career that focuses on his passion for injury prevention and disease prevention. This includes a special interest in occupational injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
What is it that you enjoy about working at Advanced Physio?
Being able to positively affect a person’s pain, or showing someone that hasn’t moved in years that physical activity isn’t something to be feared, and can actually make life more enjoyable.

What conditions or people do you have a special interest in?
I am interested in preventing injuries and chronic disease. This includes, occupational injury prevention, people with Type 2 Diabetes, lung conditions such as COPD, and the elderly in falls prevention and weight loss.
What are your extracurricular passions
I'm an avid basketballer, playing locally in Newcastle. I am also a keen fisherman who is waiting for the lake to be restocked with fish.
