Travis

Travis comes to Advanced Physiotherapy with a wealth of experience spanning across multiple football codes working for professional teams over the past 10 years. He has previously worked as the Head Physiotherapist for Melbourne Victory FC, Newcastle Knights and most recently the Melbourne Rebels who play in Super 15 Rugby. This has given Travis vast knowledge and experience in dealing with a wide range of injuries across differing athlete profiles.

Travis has now stepped back from sport and has joined the team at Advanced Physiotherapy. He is looking forward to helping all Advanced Physiotherapy patients recover from injuries and get back to what they were doing, be that sport or exercise, or back to pain-free daily living.

Conditions I have a special interest?

I enjoy treating all soft tissue and skeletal sporting injuries, however I have a particular interest in shoulder, groin/hip, knee and ankle injuries. Having worked in professional soccer, league and union I have seen most injuries on the sporting field. Helping patients getting stronger is a big focus. What I have learnt over the years is that strength plays a vital role in any rehabilitation, from the professional athlete to someone who enjoys walking or running socially.

Extracurricular Activities

I enjoy spending spare time with my wife and three girls at home, taking them out on their bikes and scooters. I enjoy training at the gym, water-skiing and am also an avid mad golfer, so getting back into regular golf is something I am relishing.
