Billing Policy

Billing Policy

Please review the following billing policy prior to your appointment. This outlines how payments are managed across different patient types at Advanced Physiotherapy.

Private Patients

Accounts for treatment and support products must be settled on the day of each appointment. Payment is accepted via credit card or EFTPOS.

For after-hours appointments (after 5:00 PM), payment will be processed over the phone on the day of your appointment. HICAPS claiming is not available for after-hours appointments. A receipt will be emailed to you following payment, which can then be submitted directly to your private health fund for reimbursement, where applicable.

GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP)Patients

Patients attending under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) are required to pay the full consultation fee at the time of their appointment.

Advanced Physiotherapy will submit the Medicare claim on your behalf, and the Medicare rebate is typically deposited into your nominated bank account overnight.

Motor Vehicle Accident & Workers Compensation Claims

A valid referral and claim information must be provided prior to booking an appointment.

Advanced Physiotherapy will only invoice insurers that have accepted liability and are regulated by the State Insurance RegulatoryAuthority (SIRA). Once liability has been accepted and approval for treatment has been confirmed, no payment is required at the time of treatment.

Patients may be responsible for treatment costswhere liability has not been accepted, treatment approval has not been obtained, or the claim remains under dispute.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Participants

Advanced Physiotherapy is not a registered NDIS provider and therefore only accepts participants who are self-managed.

Self-managed NDIS participants are required to pay the full consultation fee at the time of their appointment. A receipt will be provided, which can then be submitted directly to the NDIS for reimbursement inaccordance with your plan funding arrangements.

Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Patients

At this time, Advanced Physiotherapy is not accepting new Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) patients.
