Level 1 Sports Trainer Course – Sports Medicine Australia Approved

Do you wish to work in a sport setting or event and be able to help manage and preventinjuries? Advanced Physiotherapy at Warners Bay invites you to attend a two-day seminar offered as the SMA’s Level 1 Sports Trainer Course.
Who is this for?
- Anyone who works or who intends to work as a Sports trainer in Australia
 - Physiotherapy students
 - Exercise Science students
 - Interested players and families
 
What will this give you? Successful completion of the course will provide you with National Accreditation as a Sports Trainer, which is a requirement in most parts of Australia.
What will be covered?
- Injury Management and Prevention
 - Injuries to the head, spine, trunk, and upper & lower limbs
 - Introduction to Anatomy
 - Sports Nutrition
 - Drugs in Sport
 - Taping
 - Environmental Injuries
 - Wound Management
 - Moving an Injured Athlete
 
Prerequisites: Must be at least 16 years of age with current CPR and Senior First Aid (these can be completed after the level 1 course).
Presenters: Corinne Hillier and Michael Nolan are Physiotherapists with a keen interest in sports injuries. They are currently the Physiotherapists for the Emerging Jets Football Program.
